Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. The role requires setting up and removing signs, cones, and barricades to protect workers and the public, using hand signals and paddles to guide motorists.

Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license, pass background and DOT drug tests, and be willing to travel statewide on a rotating schedule. The position offers non-exempt hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up traffic control devices and signs at work zones.
• Direct traffic with stop/slow paddles and clear signals.
• Maintain communication with team via two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for extended periods outdoors in varied weather.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment for safe operation.
• Travel statewide with occasional overnight stays; may require nights/weekends.
