Job summary

Freddie Mac is seeking a software engineer to rebuild its legacy payments system and deliver robust microservices using Java/Spring Boot. You will collaborate with Product Owners to translate requirements into scalable RESTful services and ensure high quality through unit testing and CI practices.

You will work on the Payment Hub with Level 3 production support, and may have a part-time telecommuting option. The role is based at 6555 Excellence Way, Plano, TX 75023 with standard 40hr work week.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of IT experience in design, development, integration and testing of software solutions based on J2EE technologies.
• Three (3) years of experience with SpringBoot, RESTFul Services, Angular, SQL, and Junit.
• Three (3) years of experience with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, Gradle, Docker, and Fitnesse.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild Freddie Mac's legacy payments system to streamline the overall payments process and reduce risk.
• Build robust user-facing microservices in Java/Spring Boot/RESTful following best practices (unit testing, source control, CI/CD).
• Work with Product Owners and business users to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with tech teams to develop, test, and deploy microservices.
