Job summary

Freddie Mac is seeking a Software Engineering Tech Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership for modern full-stack capabilities in Multifamily. You will guide teams building secure, scalable Java microservices and client applications while advancing AI-assisted development lifecycle practices.

You will mentor engineers, align with product owners, architects and stakeholders, and promote resilient, auditable platforms supporting critical Multifamily processes at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering or technology delivery experience with leadership.
• Proven experience guiding complex full-stack delivery including APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on leadership with Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Angular/React, SQL, CI/CD, and testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for agile teams delivering modern full-stack capabilities.
• Guide solution design, review implementations, and ensure scalable, secure decisions.
• Mentor developers and promote engineering excellence across the lifecycle.
• Drive Java-based microservices, REST APIs, front-end apps, and integration services.
