Job summary

FinSurance Group Services, LLC seeks a senior trade credit underwriter to develop, structure, price and underwrite profitable trade credit business while expanding relationships with specialist brokers. The role emphasizes non-cancellable buyer limits, Single Buyer and Named Buyer risks, and larger, complex exposures.

You will refine intake data, drive decision-support, and contribute to Insurtech-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant trade credit insurance experience with underwriting responsibility.
• Direct underwriting experience with trade credit insurers, MGUs or brokers.
• Ability to analyze financial statements, liquidity and cash flow.
• Strong understanding of trade credit products and limits.
• Independent underwriting judgment within delegated authority.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Established relationships with trade credit brokers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and underwrite profitable new and renewal trade credit business through FinSurance's broker network.
• Build relationships with brokers and major trade credit practices to expand premium production.
• Evaluate buyer, industry, country, concentration and transaction risk using financials, payment history and data.
• Structure and price non-cancellable buyer limits and credit solutions within delegated authority.
• Underwrite Single Buyer, Named Buyer, Whole Turnover, Top-Up, Excess of Loss and other approved structures.
• Distinguish insurable transactions from guaranties or unconditional credits.
• Prepare referrals for exposures above authority and collaborate with senior leadership and partners.
• Help refine automated intake, document ingestion, entity resolution, data enrichment and decision-support workflows.
