Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant trade credit insurance experience, including substantial direct underwriting responsibility.
• Direct underwriting experience with a trade credit insurer or program administrator (MGU).
• Ability to analyze financial statements, payment history, liquidity and leverage for credit decisions.
• Strong understanding of buyer limits, policy structures, deductibles and concentration management.
• Independent underwriting judgment within delegated authority and effective negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and underwrite profitable new and renewal trade credit business through the broker network.
• Build relationships with trade credit brokers and major brokerage practices to generate opportunities.
• Evaluate buyer, industry and transaction risk using financial and transactional data.
• Structure and price non-cancellable buyer limits within delegated authority.
• Underwrite Single Buyer, Named Buyer, Top-Up, Excess of Loss and other credit structures.
• Prepare referrals for exposures above authority and collaborate with leadership, carriers and reinsurers.
• Refine automated intake, document ingestion, entity resolution and decision-support workflows.
