Job summary

AIG is seeking a Senior Underwriter, Trade Credit to manage key relationships and reviews of complex transactions for brokers and markets. You will oversee underwriting duties within your portfolio and contribute to business growth.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in underwriting with strong credit analysis skills and proficiency in MS Office, Cap IQ, Salesforce and Factiva. MBA is a plus and multilingual candidates are valued.

Qualifications

5–7 years of underwriting experience preferred.
Background in credit or financial analysis required.
Experience in trade credit, finance, or banking preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in business or finance; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop strong relationships with brokers and clients to grow the underwriter’s portfolio of trade credit business.
Underwrite large/complex, new and renewal submissions and negotiate policy terms and conditions.
Analyze domestic and international corporate credits and evaluate financial information to determine credit limits and terms.
Maintain and service an existing portfolio of trade credit insurance business.
Market and present to brokers and insureds to increase submission flow.
Engage in underwriting and marketing projects to improve company results.
Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to team revenue targets.
