Job summary

GHY International is seeking a Trade Consultant and licensed U.S. Customs Broker to guide clients through tariff classification, origin determinations, and valuation, helping them navigate complex cross-border trade.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues, supporting CBP interactions and ensuring compliance across engagements. This remote role requires occasional travel to Pembina, ND for training, with a competitive salary, salary reviews, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Licensed U.S. Customs Broker with 10+ years in the trade.
• Strong advisory and client-facing experience.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage complex classifications and CBP matters.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tariff classification, origin rules, and related issues.
• Draft CBP Binding Ruling Requests and support verifications.
• Identify compliance risks and opportunities in client activity.
• Investigate duty issues and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Coordinate post-entry filings and manage refunds visibility with CBP and agencies.
• Develop scopes of work and client-focused trade presentations.
