Job summary

GHY International is seeking an experienced Trade Consultant and Licensed Customs Broker to advise clients on complex customs matters. You will work remotely for a firm with a national reach, traveling to Pembina, ND for training as needed, and reporting to the Director of US Trade Services.

You will guide clients through tariff classification, valuation, origin determinations, and FTAs, drafting CBP rulings, and coordinating with CBP and government agencies.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of U.S. customs and practical application.
• Ability to work independently and advise clients.
• Strong attention to detail and deadlines.
• Experience with CBP processes and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tariff classification, valuation, origin, and FTAs.
• Draft CBP Binding Rulings and support verifications and post-entry work.
• Identify compliance risks and opportunities for refunds.
• Investigate duty issues and translate findings into recommendations.
• Coordinate post-entry filings and monitor refunds and entries.
• Develop scopes of work and client-focused trade recommendations.
• Share expertise with colleagues and contribute to process improvements.
