Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services in the United States seeks a Sr. Specialist, Trade Compliance for a 12-month contract based in Waltham, MA. The role is primarily remote, with occasional onsite presence in Waltham as needed.

Responsibilities include import/export classification, EEI filing, and regulatory recordkeeping. You will coordinate with brokers, support trade programs, and maintain internal controls to ensure compliant global trade activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, or relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• 2 to 3 years of experience with import/export regulations.
• 1 to 2 additional years in supply chain, order management, operations, or logistics.
• Experience with EEI filing and customs broker liaison responsibilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support import and export compliance activities, including product classification and database maintenance.
• Coordinate import declarations and customs approvals with brokers and related documentation.
• Monitor transactions, troubleshoot EEI filings, and maintain records per regulations.
• Assist with trade programs, duty drawback, and compliance metrics.
• Maintain and improve trade compliance procedures, work instructions, and internal controls.
• Identify training needs and support strategic compliance projects.
