Job summary

Capital One seeks a Principal Associate for Operational Risk Management in Third Party Risk Management. You will drive governance programs, act as a core SME on TPRM requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to navigate regulatory landscapes and uphold risk practices.

You will lead high-impact governance initiatives, manage remediation of TPRM risks, and maintain taxonomies and diagnostics across the enterprise, while supporting audits and mandate compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Operational Risk Management, Third-Party Risk Management, Compliance, or Audit within a financial institution or a regulated industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in process management governance.
• 4+ years in a dedicated TPRM role focusing on risk framework, governance and policy.
• 3+ years of Process Management or Project Management with risk workflow optimization.

Responsibilities

• Support Framework and Policy Governance: Support the enterprise TPRM policies and standards across the full lifecycle.
• Drive Risk Oversight Programs: Lead the execution of the annual TPRM Risk Oversight Program Self-Assessment and Process Criticality Assessments to ensure robust framework compliance.
• Act as an Internal SME: Serve as the primary subject matter expert on TPRM requirement applicability, providing guidance and participating in risk assessments from a holistic risk perspective.
• Manage Issue Remediation: Own and lead end-to-end remediation of TPRM-related risk issues.
• Maintain Taxonomies and Diagnostics: Shape and maintain the TPRM Risk Taxonomies and Process Diagnostic guidance for consistency across the enterprise.
• Support Audits and Exams: Facilitate for relevant audits, regulatory examinations, and process level assessments.
• Ensure Mandate Compliance: Support Designated Mandate Owners with rigorous requirement fulfillment and attestation processes.
• International TPRM Requirements: Serve as the primary contact on applicability of international TPRM requirements.
