Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to support software development efforts at the AWS Center for Quantum Computing. You will pair with technical leads to plan and execute a stream of small projects that build automation for fabricating and operating quantum hardware, while navigating ambiguity and resource constraints.

You will partner with TPMs across teams to identify blockers, push for standardization, and shape project management practices within the Center of Quantum

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
• Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering.
• Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical-path management.
• 5+ years of experience interfacing with software/hardware teams in an academic or R&D space.
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities where in-house developed software can streamline our internal hardware and software workflows.
• Develop requirement documents that translate customer needs into software workable solutions.
• In collaboration with our software managers develop plans (including identifying resources) to develop our internal software platforms.
• Support the internal roll-out and adoption of these tools.
• Compile customer feedback and use this to drive incremental improvements of existing software tools.
