Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive a stream of small software projects that build automation for our quantum hardware development.

You will pair with technical leads to plan, execute, and negotiate resources across a matrixed organization. This role offers exposure to hardware development and testing for quantum computing, with a focus on efficiency, tool ingestion, testing acceleration, and operations automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of technical program management with software engineering teams.
• 5+ years interfacing with software/hardware teams in an academic or R&D space.
• Experience in project management incl. scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk management.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities where inhouse software can streamline workflows.
• Develop requirement documents translating customer needs into software solutions.
• Collaborate with software managers to plan resources and develop internal platforms.
• Support internal rollout and adoption of tools.
• Collect customer feedback to drive incremental improvements of tools.
