Job summary

IonQ, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager for Quantum Sensing in Pleasanton, CA. The role leads complex hardware/software programs across the full lifecycle, from maturation through production, deployment, and sustainment, with travel up to 25% domestically.

You will shape program strategy, manage labor and budgets, and serve as the primary technical interface to executives and customers, ensuring milestones and technical requirements are achieved.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership across hardware/software programs from R&D to production.
• Independent management of programmatic financials, forecasting, and EAC.
• Cross-functional influence with engineering, supply chain, and finance to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end program execution from technology maturation through production and field sustainment.
• Own Integrated Master Schedule and synchronize engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
• Drive NPI/NTI transitions, site readiness, and scalable handoffs for quantum programs.
• Manage programmatic labor and non-labor forecasting and variance analysis.
• Provide executive-facing status updates, dashboards, and strategic recommendations.
• Mentor junior TPMs and establish scalable program governance mechanisms.
