Job summary

Amazon in Pasadena, CA seeks a Sr Technical Program Manager to coordinate cryogenic hardware integration and signals R&D activities. You will manage multi-project schedules, forecast resource constraints, and drive optimized decisions across teams with senior leadership visibility.

You will lead development of requirements, manage external contracts, and explore software/AI solutions to streamline workflows while shaping project management standards across the center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
• 5+ years working in a hardware based R&D environment.
• 5+ years of technical contract management for R&D activities with external vendors/suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain detailed plans and schedules for cryogenic hardware and signals R&D activities, including chip cooldown planning.
• Identify resource constraints and conflicts to drive operational decisions and timelines.
• Define mechanisms to optimize interface points to cryogenic hardware and signals teams.
• Provide programmatic support for new fab facilities, onboarding or new equipment, and sourcing materials.
• Develop statements of work for external contracts (COTS and R&D) and manage these contracts.
• Identify opportunities for in-house software or AI tools to streamline hardware workflows.
