Job summary

Planet is seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive our largest, cross-team programs for the Insights Platform. You will own end-to-end plans, establish processes, and communicate risks and milestones to stakeholders.

This hybrid role requires in-office work from Arlington, VA three days a week, joining a mission to make space-derived data more accessible for global customers. You will partner with Product, Tech Leads, Design, Data Science, and other TPMs to deliver scalable, high-performance

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development or program management experience in SaaS, data lifecycles, discovery/search engines, or cloud delivery.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects across a broad organization.
• Experience with the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
• Experience building asynchronous workflows and healthy decision-making cultures.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to execute product and engineering roadmaps.
• Translate inputs into capacity-checked timelines and resolve conflicts across teams.
• Ensure product and design requirements are implemented to scope.
• Create and manage program schedules with incremental milestones and definitions of done.
• Manage external contract integration software developers and vendor relationships.
• Identify dependencies and risks and make them actionable with stakeholders.
