Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems LLC in Devens, MA is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead magnet production programs within the PMO. You will drive complex engineering projects from inception to completion, coordinating engineers, designers, and suppliers to deliver SPARC's highly engineered process systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 8+ years of cross-disciplinary project management, and proficiency with Jira/Confluence and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in engineering and project management across multiple disciplines.
• Strong understanding of project management, planning, and scheduling methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with phase-gate design reviews (CDR, PDR, FDR).
• Experience with Jira and Confluence; scheduling tools such as MS Project or P6.

Responsibilities

• Drive SPARC projects from inception to completion.
• Develop comprehensive plans for engineering, procurement and construction of highly engineered process systems.
• Manage SPARC systems through final design with a cross-functional team.
• Establish milestones and ensure deliverables meet budget and timeline parameters.
• Track and report SPARC progress.
• Facilitate collaboration between PMO, system leads and project teams to improve methods and reporting.
• Lead strategic process improvement plans and risk-based decisions throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead a cross-functional team to meet execution plan requirements.
