Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead SPARC engineering programs from inception to delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, designers, and analysts to execute highly engineered process systems.

You will own schedules, budgets, risk management, and milestone tracking, ensuring adherence to design reviews and strategic goals while fostering a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Proven track record leading complex engineering projects.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience with project lifecycles and design reviews (CDR, PDR, FDR).
• Proficiency using Jira and Confluence; scheduling tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive SPARC projects from inception to completion.
• Develop plans for engineering, procurement, and construction of highly engineered systems.
• Manage SPARC systems with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, designers, and analysts.
• Establish milestones and ensure deliverables meet budget and timeline constraints.
• Track and report progress; resolve schedule conflicts and risks.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and standardized methods.
