Job summary

Pivotal Talent Search seeks a Senior Packaging Designer to design market-leading packaging from concept to production. This hybrid role requires two to three days onsite at our El Segundo location and a strong portfolio.

You will lead trends, direct photography, manage timelines with partners, mentor junior designers, and present ideas to executives. A BFA and 7+ years of consumer product design experience are expected, with Illustrator/Photoshop proficiency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of consumer product design experience.
• BFA or equivalent degree in related field (Industrial or Product Design).
• Portfolio submission required with applications.
• Hybrid role with on-site El Segundo location.

Responsibilities

• Concept and design packaging from concept to production.
• Lead trend-right graphics aligned to brand strategy.
• Direct photography and visual look for licensed and original brands.
• Create planograms for retailer presentations.
• Manage packaging timelines with partners.
• Project manage multiple packaging projects; deliver milestones on time.
• Present products to executives and implement feedback.
• Communicate with designers, product development, engineering, and vendors.
• Develop cost-effective packaging with structural engineers.
• Mentor junior designers.
