Job summary

Jakks Pacific Inc. in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a hands-on Packaging Designer with 2–3 years of graphic design/packaging development experience. You will create production-ready packaging, logos, branding, and marketing materials under the direction of the Director.

The role requires expertise in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, strong typography skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years graphic design/packaging development experience within consumer products (toy industry preferred).
• Degree in Packaging/Graphic Design, Illustration or related field.
• Expert in Adobe CS Photoshop & Illustrator. Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Hands-on skills with ability to work with cutting tools to create mock-up samples.
• Knowledge of offset printing and packaging materials.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work against strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production ready packaging files for print.
• Design and conceptualize innovative packaging for licensed and in-house consumer products under the direction of the Director.
• Design logos, branding, retail and trade show displays, advertising, websites and related marketing materials.
• Coordinate with art director, marketing, and product teams for sale sample completion.
• Post final mechanical art to Hong Kong team or domestic vendors.
