Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Town Planning consultant to join our well-established planning team near Shrewsbury. Hybrid working available, salary negotiable plus excellent benefits.

The role offers ownership of planning cases from instruction through to determination and client-facing representation throughout the process. You will manage diverse planning projects, liaise with authorities, conduct site visits, prepare planning appraisals, statements and supporting documents, and

Qualifications

• Postgraduate RTPI-accredited planning course.
• Chartered RTPI membership desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
• Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Confident communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of planning applications from appointment through to determination.
• Assessing new planning enquiries and advising on planning strategy.
• Researching planning history, planning policy and site constraints.
• Undertaking site visits and preparing planning appraisals.
• Preparing proposals and quotations.
• Producing high-quality planning statements and supporting documents.
• Liaising with Local Planning Authorities and stakeholders.
• Monitoring applications and keeping clients informed throughout the process.
• Representing clients at meetings, hearings and events.
