Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Planner to join a leading professional services firm in a client-facing role covering residential, agricultural and commercial projects. The role involves feasibility work from concept through to the discharge of planning conditions, with some home-working flexibility.

You'll work in a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with design, rural, commercial and valuation specialists, and play a lead role on planning applications and appeals across the firm's

Qualifications

• Experience in a client-facing planning role in public or private sector
• Collaborative work as part of an interprofessional team and ability to work independently
• Strong knowledge of planning policy, NPPF, and Local/Neighbourhood Plans
• Chartered Member of the RTPI (MRTPI) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide initial feasibility advice and planning appraisals for clients
• Deal with pre-application enquiries
• Draft planning statements and other documentation
• Prepare and manage planning applications for residential, commercial and agricultural property
• Act as Project Lead and liaise with external consultants
• Collaborate with in-house design, rural, commercial and valuation teams
• Advise on planning conditions and Section 106 agreements
• Promote development sites for adoption and manage appeals
