Onward Search is assisting a leading automotive company to hire a Tooling Manager onsite in Milwaukee. You will oversee tooling operations across multiple shifts, coordinate maintenance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize die-cast and stamping tooling.

The role involves leading tooling development, managing timelines and budgets, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to improve quality, durability, and cost‑effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of leadership in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of CNC programming, high-speed machining, EDM, and grinding preferred.
• Familiarity with quality standards, GD&T, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong project management, data analysis, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily tooling activities across multiple shifts, ensuring efficient operation of die-cast and stamping tooling processes.
• Collaborate with teams to implement safety procedures and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead new tooling development, managing timelines and budgets for tooling launches.
• Develop and refine processes to enhance tooling quality, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions.
