Job summary

Onward Search partners with a leading automotive supplier in Milwaukee, WI to hire a Tooling Supervisor responsible for leading the tooling department on-site.

You will oversee safety, quality and efficiency, coach staff, manage assets and inventory, and monitor KPIs to drive productivity while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role requires strong leadership and lean manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in tooling or related manufacturing.
• Journeyman Tool & Die maker certification preferred.
• Proven experience with Kaizen, 5S, and lean manufacturing.
• Strong skills in KPI management and process documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-specific software tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the tooling department, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.
• Manage personnel, assets, and inventory to optimize productivity and maintain workplace safety initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs and production goals, implementing strategies to meet or exceed targets.
• Support continuous safety and process improvements through training and safety audits.
• Foster a team environment, coaching staff and promoting employee engagement.
