Honda is seeking an engineer to manage and improve production line tool designs to boost productivity and quality. You'll lead budget creation, coordinate tooling development for new models, and support tool setup and trials across departments.

The role requires a engineering degree and 2–8 years in equipment engineering, with strong math, communication, and project management skills. 40% office and 60% production floor work with occasional travel and overtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical).
• 2-8 years of experience in equipment engineering.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCad 2D & 3D, SolidWorks.
• Presenting, written communication, organizational skills; read engineering designs and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead tool budget creation, control, and analysis to evaluate cutting tool budget.
• Coordinate tool development of tools, holders, and machining processes for new models and technology.
• Provide technical support for internal tool setup and tool regrind processes.
• Lead line-side trial runs during tool testing to ensure quality and delivery.
• Communicate and present technical issues and tool reports to diverse audiences.
• Develop, manage and execute Business Plan activities in a timely manner.
