Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to deliver advanced planning and tooling solutions across Product, Process and Tooling for North American manufacturing.

You will support feasibility of stamping models, lead tool verification, and develop tooling specifications from first drawing to die go, while guiding downstream teams to meet design and production goals. Travel is up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical or Industrial) or equivalent related experience.
• 2+ years relevant full-time engineering experience or equivalent, expert knowledge of Equipment/Tool New Model, expert knowledge of Automotive Production facilities.
• MS Office, CATIA V5, CATIA V6, and AutoForm proficient.

Responsibilities

• Supports advance Body Frame Stamping product feasibility from styling sketch through 1st drawing issue for New Model Body in White construction.
• Leads Manufacturing Stamping New Model Tool verification check list requirements and drawing maturation across N.A. DEBQ functions.
• Supports the development of New Model Stamping Tooling specifications/process plan from 1st drawing to Die GO; provide direct technical guidance to downstream customers.
• Supports complex manufacturing category problem analysis, determine root causes, recommend corrective action, and set SAP in the New Model development.
