Job summary

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. We are seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer to collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to create production equipment for assembling our microreactor system.

Responsibilities include partnering with engineers to develop equipment, enabling semi-remote fueling operations, and sourcing fabrication suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or related engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical equipment design and fabrication in CAD (NX or similar).
• Solid GD&T understanding with experience applying it to fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design and manufacturing engineers to develop production equipment for fabricating and assembling complex mechanisms and structures.
• Design, analyze, and fabricate equipment that enables semi-remote operations for fueling/defueling of the reactor.
• Identify and develop appropriate suppliers for components and fabrication.
