Job summary

Radiant, an El Segundo, CA-based startup, is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to build to print, assemble development microreactors, and crew test rigs. You will fabricate parts using mill, lathe, welders, and forming tools, and you’ll contribute to prototype shop readiness at Radiant's new HQ.

You will collaborate with engineers, troubleshoot across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and pneumatic domains, and ensure safety, reliability, and cleanliness in a fast‑paced, small-team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years fabrication or assembly experience.
• Ability to work onsite at El Segundo HQ.
• Ability to travel occasionally.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Experience with machine tools, saws, grinders, etc.
• Willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate piece parts to print using shop equipment.
• Own the assembly and commissioning of test rigs and production builds.
• Perform troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, thermal, and pneumatic issues.
• Partner with engineers to develop solutions for hardware design and fabrication.
• Abide by high safety, reliability, and cleanliness standards.
• Perform other tasks as needed in a small company.
