Job summary

ASML Holding in Wilton, CT is seeking a Senior Production Engineering Tooling Designer to lead the creation of advanced mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic tooling for high-tech manufacturing. You will guide tooling from concept through qualification, release, and ongoing production support, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing tooling design, production engineering, process development, or manufacturing.
• At least 3 years leading projects.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or AutoCAD.
• Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, manufacturing processes, and finite element analysis.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning, product lifecycle management, and engineering change processes.
• Experience in semiconductor, high-tech, complex assembly, or cleanroom environments preferred.
• Certifications in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, project management, Lean, or Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define functional requirements and technical specifications with engineering teams, technicians, and internal customers.
• Develop business cases, design proposals, risk assessments, and environmental, health, and safety reviews.
• Design complex manufacturing tools, fixtures, and jigs meeting safety, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements.
• Create detailed three-dimensional models and two-dimensional drawings using CAD software.
• Lead design reviews and apply tolerance, motion, material, structural, thermal, and performance analysis.
• Release qualified designs with complete documentation for procurement, production, duplication, and lifecycle support.
• Resolve advanced tooling issues, implement corrective actions, improve processes, and support investment planning.
