Job summary

ASML US, LLC in Wilton, CT, is seeking a Senior Production Engineering Tooling Designer to create advanced mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic tooling for high-tech manufacturing. You will guide tooling from concepts through qualification, release, and production support, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will lead design reviews, collaborate with design and production teams, and apply GD&T, FEA, and ERP/PLM processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in manufacturing tooling design, production engineering, process development, or manufacturing.
• Minimum three years of experience leading projects and improvement initiatives.
• Strong proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, AutoCAD).
• Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, manufacturing processes, and finite element analysis.
• Experience with ERP, PLM, and engineering change processes.
• Experience working in semiconductor/high-tech/cleanroom environments preferred.
• GD&T or PM/Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define functional requirements and technical specifications with engineering teams, technicians, and internal customers.
• Develop business cases, design proposals, risk assessments, and environmental, health, and safety reviews.
• Design complex manufacturing tools, fixtures, and jigs that meet safety, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements.
• Create detailed three-dimensional models and two-dimensional drawings using computer-aided design software.
• Lead design reviews and apply tolerance, motion, material, structural, thermal, and performance analysis.
• Release qualified designs with complete documentation for procurement, production, duplication, and lifecycle support.
• Resolve advanced tooling issues, implement corrective actions, improve processes, and support investment planning.
