Qualifications

• High school diploma with 5-10 years of prior manufacturing experience in metalworking environments.
• Apprenticeship or journeyman training completed or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of shop math and GD&T skills.
• Ability to mentor junior machinists and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental health policies.
• Builds/repairs custom machine shop tools using machining equipment and measuring instruments.
• Read blueprints or instructions to create/modify tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and molds.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling, surface grinders and CNC machines.
• Inspect finished parts for conformance using precision measuring tools.
• Mentor junior machinists and participate in cross-training as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and proper tool/equipment upkeep.
• Contribute to safety, 6S, quality, delivery and productivity improvements.
