Job summary

Daniel Defense LLC in Georgia is seeking a Tool Maker 3 to lead the development and repair of precision shop tools, dies, jigs and fixtures. You will read blueprints, set up machine tools, and operate lathes, grinders, milling and CNC machines to produce tools for manufacturing operations.

Applicants should have a high school diploma with extensive metalworking experience, an apprenticeship or journeyman training, and a proven ability to mentor others while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 5-10 years of metalworking manufacturing experience.
• Apprenticeship or journeyman training; strong GD&T skills.
• Mentor junior machinists and maintain safety/quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair custom machine shop tools using machining equipment.
• Read blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools and fixtures.
• Set up machine tools considering tolerances, tools, and speeds.
• Operate lathes, grinders, milling and CNC machines to produce tools.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety, participate in 6S and safety meetings.
• Mentor junior machinists and coordinate work when needed.
