Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation in the United States is seeking a Staff Tool Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert in tooling engineering, ensuring tooling supports engineering and manufacturing requirements for aircraft programs. You will collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Tool Fabrication, Tool Inspection, and suppliers.

The role requires a bachelors degree in a relevant engineering discipline and experience with CATIA V5, GD&T, and legacy aircraft

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in tooling engineering.
• Experience in aerospace tooling engineering or aircraft production support.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5 for 3D modeling, model interpretation, and design reviews.
• Experience with tooling drawings, fabrication tooling, and related processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing requirements.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers on tooling design and fabrication issues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in tooling engineering to resolve complex tooling and manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Tool Fabrication, Tool Inspection, and suppliers to support aircraft production and sustainment programs.
