Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an engineer to support portable, perishable and standard tool processes for aircraft assembly, including F35, F16, C130 and more. You will coordinate with Tool Services and EDTI teams in Fort Worth, Marietta, Greenville, and Palmdale to improve processes and standardization.

Responsibilities include designing tooling concepts, using CAD/CAM where appropriate, and assisting with integration of best practices. Travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with portable, perishable processes, tools and equipment used in aircraft production.
• Minimum 1 year of aircraft structural assembly and technical requirements experience.
• Minimum 1 year resolving engineering, production, tooling, and assembly issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Tool Services and EDTI personnel across multiple locations.
• Develop and implement hole preparation and cold working processes.
• Provide technical guidance to Production Management, Manufacturing Engineering and Shopfloor personnel.
