Qualifications

• Certified Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of tool and die making experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience operating manual and CNC machinery (lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs).
• Strong metallurgy and heat treatment knowledge; material properties understanding.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain dies and tooling with high precision.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new dies, fixtures, and tooling.
• Troubleshoot and repair existing production tooling and dies.
• Perform preventative maintenance on dies and tooling.
• Operate a variety of machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD models to determine precise specifications.
• Select appropriate materials and methods for tool and die fabrication.
• Conduct quality inspections of finished tools and dies to ensure accuracy and functionality.
