Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Tolls Systems & Operations Project Manager with 15+ years of experience to lead electronic tolling programs across the United States. You will manage contracts, oversee system design and integration, coordinate with vendors, and drive innovation in tolling technology.

Travel is expected at approx. 25-30%, with a focus on client relationships, proposal development, and comprehensive program oversight.

Qualifications

• 15+ years progressive experience in project management and technical consulting for technology implementation and operations.
• 10+ years direct toll systems and operations project management experience.
• Experience in electronic tolling system design, development, testing and maintenance.
• Experience with toll policy, planning, procurements and industry trends.
• Ability to market new work, prepare proposals and present to clients.
• Proven ability to work effectively remotely and in teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage toll technology and operations consulting contracts for public toll agencies.
• Oversee design, development, integration, testing, and operations of tolling systems.
• Coordinate with vendors to address design, operational and maintenance issues.
• Conduct risk and issue assessment and mitigation on tolling projects.
• Provide expertise on tolling systems/technologies and recommend solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of AI in tolling operations.
• Analyze business needs, document requirements, and develop reporting solutions.
• Track issues across back office and roadside toll system implementations.
• Manage testing, validation, and operational oversight of toll collection tech.
• Develop RFPs for electronic tolling systems and services.
• Maintain clear communications with clients, vendors, and team members.
