Job summary

Stantec seeks a Toll Systems & Operations Project Manager to provide leadership in electronic tolling projects for public agencies across the United States. The role focuses on planning, development, procurement, implementation, operations and maintenance of tolling systems while managing client relations and project teams.

The position involves 25–30% travel, a hybrid work model, and collaboration with a broad set of stakeholders to drive innovation in toll technology and operations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years progressive experience in project management and technical consulting for technology implementation and operations.
• 10+ years direct roadside and back office toll systems and operations project management experience.
• Experience with electronic tolling system architecture, design, development, testing and maintenance.
• Strong client relationship management and ability to work remotely/in remote teams.
• Ability to develop cost estimates, proposals and market new work.

Responsibilities

• Manage toll technology and operations consulting services contracts for public toll agencies.
• Oversee design, development, integration, testing, and operations of electronic tolling systems.
• Lead vendor coordination and manage toll system maintenance issues.
• Conduct risk assessments and monitor project performance against KPIs.
• Develop proposals, client outreach, and thought leadership in tolling industry.
• Support marketing and business development activities, including client relationship management.
