Job summary

Jobtailor in Richardson, TX seeks a senior operational SME to support managers and cross-functional teams in enterprise implementations and strategic initiatives. You will partner with Payroll, HR, and system teams to drive operational strategy and readiness.

The role covers payroll, timekeeping, auditing, and compliance with a focus on mentoring, training, and process improvement across Time & Labor functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
• Minimum 5 years in payroll, timekeeping, finance, auditing, or compliance (or advanced degree with 3 years).
• Proficient MS Word and Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior operational SME supporting managers, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
• Lead or support complex operational projects, enterprise implementations, strategic initiatives, and operational readiness efforts.
• Partner with Payroll, HR, Operations, Compliance, and system teams to support operational strategy and organizational objectives.
• Provide advanced operational support across multiple Time & Labor Management areas based on business needs.
• Support workforce operations including labor processes, payroll support activities, audit analysis, escalations, and issue resolution.
• Support labor compliance activities and operational reviews to ensure adherence to policy and labor requirements.
• Plan, implement readiness, test, validate, deploy, and provide post-implementation operational support.
• Develop and maintain procedures, documentation, training resources, reporting tools, and reference materials.
• Assist leadership with escalations, oversight activities, and complex issue resolution.
• Mentor team members on operational processes and project support.
• Identify operational risks, dependencies, compliance concerns, and improvement opportunities for leadership.
• Design, develop, and deliver on-site training for HR, employees, and supervisors on time and labor processes.
