Job summary

Jobtailor in Austin, TX seeks an experienced People Operations professional to own and administer payroll across multiple cycles and employee populations. You will validate timekeeping, manage benefits and leave, and partner with our PEO and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing.

You will maintain HRIS data integrity, stay current on US wage and hour laws, support compliance filings, and drive process improvements within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.
• Hands-on payroll entry experience across multiple cycles and employee populations (exempt and non-exempt).
• Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, Rippling, BambooHR).
• Strong knowledge of US wage-and-hour law.

Responsibilities

• Own payroll cycles across non-exempt and exempt populations.
• Coordinate with Sales Ops and Finance for commissions and reimbursements.
• Perform pre-submission audits and resolve discrepancies.
• Be the first point of contact for employee payroll questions and triage appropriately.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and audit trails.
