Job summary

Continental Electronics Corporation is seeking a Sr Welder for the second shift in Richardson, TX. The role involves set-up, maintenance, and performing advanced welding tasks per drawings and specs, using Tig, Mig, and Stick processes to join various metals.

You will read blueprints, measure with calipers and squares, and ensure critical surfaces are properly finished. AWS certification is a plus and cross-training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or tech training preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years industrial welding experience.
• Skilled in Tig welding; Mig/Stick welding a plus.
• Able to read blueprints and perform shop math through geometry.
• Must pass a welding skill test during interview.
• Current or previous AWS certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and perform difficult welding operations per drawings and specs.
• Weld aluminum, stainless, brass, and copper using various processes.
• Inspect own work with calipers and measuring tools.
• Maintain awareness of critical sealing surfaces and finishes.
• Adhere to the company’s ethics and code of conduct.
• Cross-train as back-up in other manufacturing areas.
