Job summary

RCG, Inc. in St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking a Tier 3 IT Support Technician to support a federal government customer with a hybrid option after probation.

You will join two Tier 3 and three Tier 2 technicians, maintaining a reliable IT environment for about 225 users. The role focuses on software testing, deployment, mobile device management, and advanced service desk tasks. A bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of IT experience are required, with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on IT support experience (Tier 3 or senior).
• Experience with software packaging, deployment, and license management.
• Experience with Google Workspace and cloud-based enterprise solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, imaging, and endpoint management.
• Experience supporting and managing organizational mobile devices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while following procedures.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead software testing, approval and deployment processes.
• Package, deploy and manage applications across local and cloud environments.
• Provide admin support for Google Workspace and related tools.
• Provide advanced IT support and escalate as needed.
• Perform system imaging, endpoint patching, and mobile device troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and lead small technical projects.
• Support Windows workstation environments and act as escalation point.
