Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a specialty in Commercial Tenant Improvements (TI) to join our Construction team in California. This permanent role focuses on managing TI projects across Corporate Office, Life Science, Labs, and Education sectors, delivering high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has TI-focused project experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a PE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Project Engineering role with a focus on Commercial TI.
• Proven experience in managing projects in the Corporate Office, Life Science, Labs, and Education sectors.
• Professional Engineering (PE) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of commercial TI projects, including planning, execution, tracking, and closure.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis, resolving issues and conflicts as they arise.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes when necessary.
• Determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during the project cycle.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
