Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Project Manager for Commercial TI in San Diego, CA. The role covers TI, Ground Up, Clean Room, Life Sciences, Healthcare, and lab support systems, with a focus on on-time, scoped, and budget-conscious delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction project management, strong communication skills, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Excellent benefits include 401K matching, health cover, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in construction.
• Experience in TI, Ground Up, Clean Room, Life Sciences, Healthcare, QC Lab, MEP infrastructure, and lab support systems.
• Strong client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and multitasking.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments per instructions.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all aspects of commercial TI construction projects from planning to implementation.
• Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors.
• Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Developing detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
• Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Ensuring resource availability and allocation.
• Meeting with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
• Performing risk management to minimize project risks.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
• Ensuring adherence to all health and safety standards and reporting issues.
