TrendAI, the AI security unit of Trend Micro, seeks a Senior Threat Researcher to scout the future of threats. You will profile threat actors, translate findings into actionable defenses, and publish research at conferences, influencing product directions and mitigation strategies.

You will work with a global team, collaborate with law enforcement, and travel for team meetings and conferences. A strong research track record and hacker mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of threat research across intrusion lifecycle.
• Ability to blend offensive and defensive research perspectives.
• Experience applying AI to automate tasks and data linking.
• Strong understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Independent, self-directed research track record.

Responsibilities

• Research and profile threat actors' tradecraft and business models.
• Translate offensive findings into defensive detection and mitigation guidance.
• Publish external research (blogs, papers) and present at conferences.
• Partner with law enforcement where research surfaces actionable intel.
• Represent TrendAI at external conferences and events.
• Collaborate with product and detection engineering to turn research into ideas and Mitigation proposals.
