Job summary

CLEAR is seeking a Senior Threat Detection & Response Analyst III to join its SOC team in New York, NY. You will lead complex investigations, develop, tune, and optimize threat detection across SIEM/EDR, and partner with cross-functional teams to remediate threats and strengthen security posture.

You will apply threat intelligence, automation, and AI-enabled tools to identify patterns, mentor junior analysts, and help establish scalable processes and playbooks while continuously improving

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years in security operations, threat detection, incident response, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex investigations of security events across networks, endpoints, data centers, cloud environments, and other critical systems, driving incidents from initial analysis through escalation and remediation.
• Develop, tune, and optimize threat detection logic across SIEM, EDR, and other security platforms.
• Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, and other teams to investigate threats, identify root causes, communicate risk, and drive remediation and improvements to CLEAR’s security posture.
• Apply threat intelligence, data, automation, and AI-enabled tools to identify emerging attack patterns, accelerate investigations, improve detection workflows, and strengthen decision-making.
• Serve as SME and escalation point for other analysts, mentoring junior team members and helping establish scalable playbooks and standards.
• Continuously evaluate detection coverage against MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, ISO 27001; identify opportunities to improve visibility.
• Lead improvements to Security Operations workflows, SOPs, documentation, and tooling.
• Communicate findings and risk to technical and non-technical stakeholders with appropriate detail.
• Participate in the Security Operations on-call rotation and respond to critical events outside of normal hours.
