Job summary

CLEAR is seeking a Threat Detection Analyst III to join our SOC team in New York. Lead complex investigations, tune detection across SIEM/EDR, and drive remediation while mentoring junior analysts and shaping scalable threat-detection programs.

You will work with engineering and infrastructure teams, applying MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, and ISO 27001 to strengthen CLEAR’s security posture. Competitive salary and comprehensive rewards accompany this role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years in security operations, threat detection, incident response, or a related discipline.
• Deep knowledge of SIEM, EDR, and security monitoring technologies, with demonstrated experience investigating complex events and developing, tuning, and optimizing detection logic.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, or ISO 27001 to identify adversary behavior and strengthen controls.
• Experience using data, automation, scripting, and AI-enabled security tools to improve workflows and investigations.
• Certifications such as GCIH, GCIA, OSCP are a plus.
• Experience collaborating across teams to deliver on strategic, program-level goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex investigations of security events across networks, endpoints, data centers, cloud environments, and other critical systems.
• Develop, tune, and optimize threat detection logic across SIEM, EDR, and other platforms.
• Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, and other teams to investigate threats and drive remediation.
• Apply threat intelligence and AI-enabled tools to identify patterns and improve workflows.
• Serve as SME and mentor junior analysts, establishing scalable processes and playbooks.
• Continuously evaluate detection coverage against MITRE ATT&CK and other frameworks.
• Lead improvements to SOC workflows, SOPs, and tooling for incident response.
• Communicate findings and risk to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical events outside hours.
