Apellis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison, EMPAVELI, to lead national U.S. commercial KOL engagement strategy and strengthen relationships with leading U.S.-based KOLs.

This field-based role drives insight-driven engagement plans and aligns cross-functional teams around commercial priorities. Reporting to the Head of Thought Leader & Patient Engagement Liaisons, EMPAVELI, the role partners with Medical Affairs, HCP Marketing and senior

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive biotech/pharma experience in commercial roles.
• Experience in hematology/oncology or rare diseases is a plus.
• Proven ability to engage with KOLs and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage commercial engagement plans for U.S. KOLs with objectives, metrics and cross-functional execution.
• Develop national KOL relationships and lead engagements with senior leadership at congresses.
• Identify and scale peer-to-peer programs aligned to customer needs and commercial priorities.
• Maintain the speaker bureau and oversee speaker readiness and training.
• Partner with HCP Marketing on advisory boards and synthesize insights for priorities.
• Shape content strategy for speaker programs and congress symposia.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs and field teams to align priorities and drive engagement.
