Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of administrative research experience evaluating facts to recommend action.
• Two of the four years must be above the technical support level.
• College coursework may substitute for experience (45 quarter units per year, up to 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Independently interpret, analyze, and apply complex regulations for assigned programs.
• Drive to areas across the state to conduct inspections and evaluations of testing businesses.
• Decide compliance with all requirements and regulations; prepare formal reports.
• Train, evaluate, and coach examiners and driver training schools.
• Act as the compliance point of contact with DMV staff and external partners.
• Work in a standard office with hybrid travel up to 2-3 days per week.
