Job summary

The Oregon Department of Transportation is seeking an Internal Auditor 3 to join the Audit Services team. This permanent, full-time role will deliver independent internal audit work and provide management consultation across agencies, including OPRD and ODOT.

You will oversee complex audits, manage assignments, and mentor staff, with occasional travel to Salem. The position supports a hybrid-remote work arrangement; travel to Salem is required for in-person duties and travel expenses are not

Qualifications

• Six years of professional-level auditing, investigations, compliance, policy/program, or work closely related to the agency mission.
• Bachelor's degree in business-related field AND three years of experience performing professional level auditing, investigations, compliance, policy/program, or work closely related to the agency mission.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver internal audit services and provide leadership within the audit program.
• Lead teams of internal auditors and complete audits requiring advanced or specialized skills.
• Provide management consultation to agency executives and help strengthen governance, risk, and controls.
• Travel to Salem for required in-person duties; hybrid-remote work possible; travel expenses not reimbursed.
