Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Process Engineer for ion-beam deposition of optical thin films, with strong substrate cleaning and thin-film characterization expertise.

You will develop, optimize, and scale deposition processes for high-volume production; collaborate with Design Engineering and Operations; analyze in-process data to drive yield, uniformity, and flaw reduction; and specify requirements for new deposition equipment.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold an MS or PhD in Engineering, Materials Science, or a STEM field.
• Minimum of 3+ years in an engineering discipline or advanced degree.
• Experience in cleanroom environments and thin-film characterization.
• Familiarity with SPC and DOE methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and scale thin film deposition processes for high-volume production.
• Develop, implement and optimize substrate cleaning processes.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering and Operations for process implementation.
• Analyze in-process data to determine process adjustments.
• Drive defect reduction, uniformity improvements, and yield enhancements.
• Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability and health trends.
• Define process input requirements for new deposition equipment and settings.
