Job summary

Stellantis seeks a Thermal System Innovation Senior Engineer to lead advanced thermal projects, optimize HVAC and cooling architectures, and mentor the TECH PS Thermal Management team. You will guide cross-functional collaboration, manage resources and budgets, and drive innovation aligned with brand pillars across global vehicle programs.

The role requires a deep thermodynamics background, hands-on testing experience, and strong communication with leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical/aeronautical/nuclear engineering or physics
• Minimum 8 years in development and design of advanced thermal systems and HVAC
• Deep understanding of thermodynamics, heat exchange and airflow management
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, heat exchangers and ducts
• Experience with experimental testing and validation of HVAC systems including CFD/ simulations
• Experience in project management and coordinating global cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute thermal innovation master projects to meet targets
• Summarize outcomes of sub-projects for leadership presentations
• Coordinate internal and external resources for the master project
• Develop competencies of TECH PS Thermal Management employees and mentor
• Research new areas for innovation aligned with brand pillars
• Scout new technologies from suppliers fitting Stellantis roadmaps
• Execute technology scouting and benchmark patents
• Contribute to technical scenarios related to system of responsibility
• Define annual innovation plan for thermal systems with management
• Ensure adherence to schedule, deliverables and budget
• Assist sub-project leaders to launch content and scope aligned with customer needs
• Select suppliers for external work packages
• Collaborate with departments, suppliers and service providers
• Facilitate meetings to present status to Stellantis management
• Define measures for implementing innovations in series development
